Quidam

Last night I saw my first Cirque du Soleil show. I was expecting some great acrobatics and costumes, but what surprised me was the superb acting and ownership displayed by each performer.

Ownership, you ask? Yes. I was fortunate to be sitting in the 2nd row from the stage. From this vantage point, I could look the performers square in the eye, and I was shocked at what they conveyed: This was their show. Even those with the smaller roles owned this show as if he was the star and at that moment, he was the only person on stage.

Quidam will be in Philadelphia through mid-August before moving on to Cincinnati and St. Louis. It was a moving experience I highly recommend.
