Wishlist: Ultimate Ears

Please add these to my Christmas list! Oh, wait... At $550 / pair, custom ear monitors from Ulitmate Ears would be my Christmas (and Birthday) list. Ear monitors are advanced ear buds (headphone substitute) that are custom molded to each person's ear. If you've ever been to a music concert, you'll see the performers sporting them. The model shown, UE-5c are the most affordable custom monitors. They are "designed and tuned" for use with MP3 players, DVD players, PCs, home audio systems, or anything else that accepts a 1/8" mini jack. Wondering how it works? Well, you find a local audiologist to make your ear impressions for $50. You leave the office with the impressions and ship them away to Ultimate Ears. They make them in any color you want with the cord length (and color) you specify. How sweet is that?!
