Firejewels are patented glowing necklaces. They work via a small watch battery in the clasp. When the magnetic clasp joins, electricity flows. Want to wear the necklace without it glowing? Simply reverse the poles by flipping over the battery before clasping.

Firejewel necklaces come in 7 different colors and 3 different crystal cuts. I favor the Danae (white, shown) and Sky (blue) cubes. With a tag around $45 they are a little pricey. Then again, compared to a diamond, they are cheaper and shinier! Check eBay for a better deal.
