Ladle Rat Rotten Hut

Around 1940, Professor H. L. Chace imagined what life would be like if we had to ration our words. If our vocabulary was cut in half, could we managed with other words? Here's an excerpt of his version of Little Red Riding Hood. Read it aloud a couple times and you'll get the hang of it!
