IBM Breaks the Speed Record

IBM and Georgia Tech have "demonstrated the first silicon-based chip capable of operating at frequencies above 500 GHz." The discovery came by cryogenically 'freezing' the chip to -451 degrees Fahrenheit, only 8 degrees warmer than Absolute Zero. Read the article here.
